Mintz + Hoke 2013 holiday email
Collecting Kitchen Utensils to Help People Live Independently
AVON, Conn., December 1, 2013 - The traditional holiday charitable activity gets a twist from integrated marketing communications firm Mintz + Hoke as it partners with Hartford-based A Hand Up to donate kitchen necessities to those who are transitioning from homelessness to homes. Without assistance, it is difficult for individuals to afford the basic household items that make an apartment livable.
Mintz + Hoke is joining A Hand Up to provide some needed items that turn a bare apartment into a home. Mintz + Hoke CEO Chris Knopf notes, “A Hand Up’s founders saw that many homeless people entering a home again are often without the basics – silverware and other kitchen utensils. With no way to prepare meals, their re-entry becomes even harder. Providing these necessities are part of Mintz + Hoke’s print and online holiday message this year.”
A holiday greeting page lets visitors create their own unique “Kitchen Snowflake” using spoons, spatulas and other kitchen items. When visitors “Let it Snow,” their snowflake design comes alive in an animated flurry. Another feature shares the holiday message via social media.
But the real message is all about Mintz + Hoke employee efforts to collect kitchen utensils for those transitioning from homelessness into housing. Donors can buy new or donate items from their own homes. Mintz + Hoke will add its own collection and deliver everything to A Hand Up, which will distribute them to those in need.
Donations will be collected through January 31, 2014. Anyone can send these kitchen items to:
Mintz + Hoke Silverware Everywhere, 40 Tower Lane, Avon, CT 06019. Collection information is available at Mintz + Hoke online at email@example.com or by calling 860-678-0473.
