Mintz + Hoke Named to Hartford Courant's 2014 Top Workplaces

AVON, Conn., September 22, 2014 – Connecticut integrated marketing communications firm Mintz + Hoke is pleased to announce that it has been selected as one of The Hartford Courant and FOXCT Top Workplaces.

For the overall Top Workplaces rankings in the Small Employers category, Mintz + Hoke placed 6th of 35 employers and was the highest ranking Advertising and Marketing company in the category. Mintz + Hoke also earned a Top Workplaces special award based on standout scores in employee responses in the Work/Life Flexibility category.

Top Workplaces are determined based solely on employee feedback. WorkplaceDynamics, LLP, a leading research firm, conducted the employee survey on organizational health and employee engagement. The Hartford Courant and FOXCT Top Workplaces program is affiliated with 40 major publishing partners across the United States.

Mintz + Hoke employees completed a 24-question confidential survey that takes into account employee benefits, support of the local community, employee perks and the connection between employees and the company. To participate, organizations must have a minimum of 50 employees in the Hartford, Middlesex, Tolland, Windham and New London counties. Company management is not allowed to influence employee responses.

“We’re especially proud to earn a top workplace award. This distinction is a testament to our collective achievements and desire to create an organization where people are inspired to create innovative work,” said agency President Ron Perine. “Since being founded in 1971, Mintz + Hoke has earned a reputation for attracting a team of individuals who are intellectually curious, collaborative and creative, while helping our clients and brands achieve their goals.

Of our gifted employees, we have an award-winning author, a shoe collector, a squash player, a Flamenco dancer, a Girl Scout leader, an expert cupcake maker, a reverend, a gardener, a Harley rider, a marathon runner, a wing-eating challenge winner, a band member, extreme soccer fans, a curling team member, an Instagram e-lebrity, a meteorologist at heart, several cooks, artists, skiers, practical jokesters, dog lovers and, of course, Quinnipiac and UCONN fans. Together we have a shared passion for opening our eyes to the opportunity that lies in every challenge – while having more fun in the process.”
