Mintz + Hoke Receives BMA ACE Award for Public Relations Campaign

Avon, CONN., April 30, 2015—Mintz + Hoke was honored with an ACE Award for a public relations campaign on behalf of Legrand and its Wiremold® Meeting Room Solutions products. Sponsored by the Business Marketing Association (BMA) of New York, the ACE Awards program is the first to celebrate the best business marketing globally. Winners were honored April 29 at a ceremony in New York City.

The winning campaign included a white paper that presented the case that messy, inefficient meeting rooms contribute to reduced productivity. The campaign also included product launch publicity, broad-based trade media relations, a sustained social media program, a humorous product video and a “meeting room makeover” contest that invited facility managers to share photos of their messy meeting rooms and be eligible for a total meeting room makeover.

“This award is especially significant because it represents our highly evolved approach to business-to-business communications that has grown significantly over the last 20-plus years working with Legrand. This is a strong example of how we combine the best of content development, media relations, social media and creative thinking to produce impactful campaigns,” said Ron Perine, president, Mintz + Hoke.

The campaign was highly successful in terms of generating awareness of the issue of unproductive meeting rooms and the Legrand products that are available to solve the problem. It was the most successful business-to-business product launch in Legrand/Wiremold history. Said Legrand Product Manager Jeff McDermott, “We were extremely pleased with the campaign. It was a real win for us.”

The Annual ACE Awards recognize the year's top global creative campaigns, the inspired talent who conceived them, and the agencies and clients who have successfully elevated brand and driven demand. The award program is recognized throughout the industry and has been described by the New York Times as "one of the industry's best creative awards."
