Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic development of marketing plans and proposals that advance client business objectives and support long-term growth.

  • Develop a deep understanding of each client’s business, industry, and competitive environment to get ‘street smart’; proactively identify opportunities and risks that may impact marketing strategy.

  • Lead integrated planning and project kick-offs in alignment with agency strategic principles.

  • Lead client presentations and senior-level conversations that strengthen relationships and reinforce the agency’s role as a strategic partner.

  • Establish performance frameworks for campaigns and initiatives; monitor results and guide optimization to ensure measurable impact.

  • Foster open and transparent communication with clients regarding agency performance, scope, compensation, and team structure.

  • Take ownership of business intelligence internally and ensure cross-functional teams are informed and aligned.

  • Conduct regular client and internal meetings to evaluate business performance, opportunities, and work in progress.

  • Work with Director of Client Service to determine appropriate staffing and resource allocation to ensure high service levels and account profitability.

  • Work with Director of Client Service to mentor and develop account team members, strengthening both business and industry acumen.
  • Forecast account financials, manage billing oversight, and monitor income to ensure fiscal responsibility.

  • Contribute to agency new business initiatives as appropriate.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in an advertising agency, marketing organization, or related environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to connect marketing strategy to business performance.

  • Strong leadership presence and the ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Experience within financial services preferred.
