Account Supervisor

At Mintz + Hoke, Account Supervisors play a central role in helping clients solve complex business and marketing challenges. They serve as the strategic and day-to-day lead on assigned accounts, partnering closely with clients and internal teams to develop marketing programs that drive meaningful business results.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with execution. The Account Supervisor is responsible for understanding a client's business, facilitating productive conversations, uncovering audience insights, developing messaging and marketing recommendations, and guiding work from concept through implementation.

Responsibilities

Client Leadership + Strategy

  • Develop a deep understanding of clients' businesses, industries, competitive environments, and customer audiences.
  • Lead client workshops, discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, and strategic planning discussions to uncover insights and align teams around business and marketing priorities.
  • Translate research, stakeholder perspectives, and business objectives into audience, messaging, creative, and integrated marketing recommendations.
  • Lead client presentations and facilitate discussions that build alignment and drive decision-making.

Account Management + Execution

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients, ensuring a high level of service and responsiveness.
  • Lead projects from initiation through completion, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing timelines and scope, and ensuring work is strategically aligned and effectively executed.
  • Communicate proactively with clients and internal teams regarding priorities, opportunities, progress, and challenges.
  • Provide guidance to junior team members while fostering a collaborative, integrated environment across agency disciplines.

Business Stewardship

  • Participate in account planning, forecasting, and financial management activities to support effective account stewardship.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships and support organic account growth through strategic recommendations.
  • Contribute to agency new business initiatives when appropriate.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in account management, marketing strategy, or a related client-facing role.
  • Advertising agency experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead client meetings, presentations, and strategic discussions.
  • Experience conducting discovery, research, stakeholder interviews, or other insight-gathering activities.
  • Strong understanding of how audience insights, messaging, creative strategy, and marketing execution work together to achieve business goals.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience supporting or mentoring junior team members is a plus.
  • Experience in B2B industries such as manufacturing, financial services, insurance, healthcare, or other complex business categories is preferred.
